Developers of Counter-Strike 2 continue to actively refine the game, releasing another update focused on animation improvements and bug fixes. While the patch does not introduce new content, it significantly enhances overall gameplay quality – especially in terms of visual smoothness and character behavior.
This update is primarily aimed at fixing issues that could affect both gameplay comfort and how matches are perceived.
Animation Improvements in CS2
One of the main focuses of this patch is animation polishing. Developers continue refining player model behavior, making movements more natural and consistent.
Several key fixes have been implemented:
An issue with incorrect player posture when moving backward into corners has been fixed, which previously could look unnatural and potentially confuse players during engagements. Third-person aiming synchronization has also been improved – an important change for spectators and demo reviews.
Additionally, pistol positioning in the main menu has been corrected, which is a purely visual but noticeable improvement. Missing knife draw animations have now been added, making weapon switching feel more complete and fluid.
Special attention has also been given to bugs related to movement and weapon switching. Issues that occurred while running and switching weapons, as well as after throwing grenades, have been resolved. These fixes directly improve gameplay comfort, especially in fast-paced situations.
Furthermore, a problem causing head bobbing during C4 planting has been fixed, which previously appeared unstable and distracting. Another bug related to holding the inspect button while switching weapons has also been resolved.
The creator of Cache has released a new map for CS2.
Other Changes
In addition to animation updates, developers have made an important adjustment to movement mechanics.
A bug that allowed players to descend ladders faster than intended has been fixed. This issue could potentially impact game balance, especially on maps with vertical gameplay elements.
