The creator of Cache has released a new map for CS2.

Designer FMPONE has unveiled a new map for CS2. It is called Splinter and is already available for testing in the Steam Workshop.

According to the description, the map is set in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Terrorists aim to destroy a mining and logging facility located in untouched wilderness.

Earlier, FMPONE hinted that he had sold the rights to Cache to Valve. When the map might appear in the competitive pool remains unknown. The developers have repeatedly teased its return but have yet to add it back into the game.
