Following Cache's return to the official Counter-Strike 2 map pool, Team Spirit has been placing significant emphasis on mastering the map. Team analyst Anatoly clife Averykov shared that the squad has been investing considerable time into practicing Cache and developing its strategies.
According to Averykov, the team has been playing Cache extensively while building a dedicated playbook. He also noted that every member of the roster enjoys the map, which has resulted in high motivation and productive practice sessions.
The analyst believes that lower-tier teams will likely choose Cache against Team Spirit in an attempt to catch the favorites off guard and steal a map. However, he suggested that top-tier teams are unlikely to prioritize the map during the early stages of its return to the competitive pool.
Averykov also drew comparisons between Cache and Train, recalling that Train initially saw very little play after returning to the map pool. Over time, however, teams became more comfortable with it through consistent practice, and it eventually turned into a regular pick in professional competition.

Cache officially joined the Counter-Strike 2 Premier Season 5 map pool, replacing Overpass. The map has already made its debut in professional tournaments, although its adoption has been limited so far. During the group stage of XSE Pro League 2026, Cache was played only four times, making it the least-picked map of the event.
