BC.Game has asked Valve to completely reset its VRS points and allow the current roster to start its race for a place at PGL Major Singapore 2026 from zero. The statement came after Valve tightened the rules surrounding regional switches in the VRS ranking ahead of Majors.
BC.Game Esports CEO Ali "Ako" Muhanned said the organization understands the reasoning behind the changes and supports Valve’s efforts to preserve the integrity of the system, but believes its team is in a unique situation.
BC.Game’s current lineup consists of asap, mzinho, Senzu, s1mple, and Magisk. The organization specifically emphasized that asap, mzinho, and Senzu represent the Asian region and have previously competed at a high level on the Asian scene.
“This is our core. These are the players we believe in.”
Instead of trying to keep previously earned points, BC.Game has offered to give up its current ranking position entirely. The organization wants only the results earned by this five-man lineup from now on to count after the reset.
“No previous ranking. No inherited points. No advantage. Only the results earned by these five players from this point forward should count.”
According to the organization, these are the same conditions a completely new organization would receive if it entered Counter-Strike today with this roster.
BC.Game also does not want to replace another player purely to meet the technical requirements of the rules. Instead, the team is prepared to give up everything it has previously earned and try to collect the necessary points again from scratch.
The lineup would have around three weeks to do so. The organization admits that the task may be nearly impossible: if the team fails to earn enough points, BC.Game is prepared to miss the Major.
Muhanned ended the statement with a simple proposal:
“Take all our points. Give these five players a chance to earn them again. Start us from zero. Let the server decide. 0 points. 5 players. 3 weeks.”
Valve Changes VRS Region-Switching Rules for CS2 Majors
For now, this remains BC.Game’s proposal. Valve has not officially said whether it will allow the team to begin its Asian VRS campaign from a zero rating.
