ZywOo Adds Another MVP to His Collection After Vitality's ESL Pro League Triumph

Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut has done it again. Another tournament, another trophy for Team Vitality, and another MVP medal for the French superstar.

This time, the celebration came in Katowice, where Vitality defeated MOUZ 3-0 to win ESL Pro League Season 24. ZywOo finished the event with a 1.44 Rating 3.0 and earned the HLTV MVP award for his performances throughout the competition.

It was his sixth MVP medal of 2026 and the 34th of his professional career.

A Championship Run Built on Consistency

Vitality didn't have to fight their way out of trouble during the opening stage of the tournament. Victories over 1win, NAVI and Falcons gave them a perfect 3-0 record in the Swiss Stage and a comfortable route into the playoffs.

From there, they eliminated PARIVISION and Aurora before meeting MOUZ in the grand final.

Throughout those matches, ZywOo provided the kind of consistency that makes him so difficult to play against.

He finished the tournament with 270 kills and 156 deaths across 16 maps. His average damage per round reached 85.0, while his kills-per-round figure stood at 0.86.

He also recorded just 0.50 deaths per round and a positive Round Swing of 4.33%.

The numbers were impressive, but some of his most important contributions came when Vitality were facing elimination.

One Map Against Aurora Changed Everything

Vitality's semifinal against Aurora was far from straightforward.

After losing Anubis 7-13, the team suddenly found itself one map away from elimination. Aurora had taken the early advantage, and Vitality needed a strong response.

That response came from ZywOo.

On Cache, the French AWPer delivered his best individual map of the entire event. He secured 23 kills while dying only 10 times, finishing with an exceptional 2.36 rating.

Vitality won the map 13-7 and carried that momentum into Mirage, where a 13-8 victory completed the comeback.

Across the three maps, ZywOo contributed 52 kills, 83.4 ADR and a 1.44 rating.

Without his performance on Cache, the semifinal could have taken a very different direction.

The Grand Final Was Another ZywOo Showcase

MOUZ had earned their place in the final by defeating Team Spirit, but stopping Vitality proved to be a much bigger challenge.

ZywOo immediately set the tone on Cache, recording 21 kills and 10 deaths as Vitality secured a 13-8 victory. His 2.00 rating made it one of his strongest maps of the tournament.

Inferno followed a similar pattern. ZywOo added 18 kills against nine deaths, helping Vitality move within one map of the championship.

MOUZ offered more resistance on Dust2, pushing the match into overtime. However, ZywOo continued to find important kills, finishing the map with a 25-14 scoreline.

Vitality eventually won Dust2 16-12 and completed the 3-0 sweep.

By the end of the final, ZywOo had registered 64 kills and 33 deaths. His 1.65 rating, 90.3 ADR and 82.6% KAST reflected just how influential he had been throughout the series.

ZywOo's 2026 Is Becoming Something Special

Six MVP awards in a single year is an extraordinary achievement, even for someone with ZywOo's reputation.

His collection in 2026 includes medals from:

• IEM Kraków 2026

• PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026

• IEM Rio 2026

• BLAST Rivals 2026 Season 1

• StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026

• ESL Pro League Season 24

His latest success came shortly after receiving the MVP award at StarLadder StarSeries Fall, where Vitality also lifted the trophy.

With 34 career HLTV MVP medals, ZywOo continues to extend his remarkable individual record.

Vitality Keep Winning, and ZywOo Keeps Delivering

What makes ZywOo's latest MVP particularly impressive is the variety of situations in which he performed.

Against Aurora, he helped rescue Vitality from a dangerous position. Against MOUZ, he made sure the team never lost control of the final.

Those performances demonstrate why he remains such an important part of Vitality's success.

The team leaves Katowice with another ESL Pro League championship, while ZywOo adds another individual honor to an already remarkable career.

And with the 2026 season still underway, there may be more trophies and MVP medals to come.
