Astralis Officially Announces siuhy and cmtry Signings

On October 13, 2026, Astralis confirmed the additions of siuhy and cmtry, completing its revamped CS2 roster.

Reports about the potential transfers first emerged in early October. HLTV and other insiders previously suggested that the organization was considering both players as replacements for HooXi and jabbi.

Those rumors have now been officially confirmed. siuhy joined Astralis as a free agent after leaving Team Liquid on October 2. The Polish player will take over as the team's in-game leader and be responsible for tactical decisions.

Meanwhile, cmtry arrived from FUT Esports, where he was benched in early October following the signing of Álvaro "SunPayus" García. The exact terms of the Ukrainian player's transfer have not been disclosed.

cmtry Will Switch From AWPer to Rifler

One of the most interesting aspects of the new roster is cmtry's role change.

The 19-year-old Ukrainian previously played as the primary AWPer for NAVI Junior and FUT Esports. However, at Astralis, he will transition to a rifler position, giving up his usual AWP responsibilities.

Swedish player Love "phzy" Smidebrant will remain the team's primary AWPer.

The move represents a significant challenge for cmtry, who will need to adapt to new responsibilities and develop chemistry with an international lineup.

Despite his young age, cmtry already has experience competing at major tournaments. He previously helped FUT Esports win PGL Bucharest 2026 and earned the tournament's MVP award.

siuhy Becomes Astralis' New In-Game Leader

Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek will replace HooXi as Astralis' in-game leader.

The 24-year-old Polish player previously represented GamerLegion, MOUZ, and Team Liquid. One of his biggest career achievements was reaching the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 final with GamerLegion.

His most recent team was Team Liquid, which he joined in April 2025. However, the roster struggled to deliver consistent results, and siuhy was moved to the bench in July 2026.

On October 2, siuhy became a free agent, allowing him to join Astralis.

The Polish captain now faces the challenge of building strong communication between players from different countries and helping the organization return to consistent performances on the international stage.

Updated Astralis CS2 Roster

Following the two signings, Astralis' starting lineup is now:

• Victor "Staehr" Staehr, Denmark

• Love "phzy" Smidebrant, Sweden

• Gytis "ryu" Glusauskas, Lithuania

• Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek, Poland

• Nikita "cmtry" Samoletov, Ukraine

Coach: Filip "NEO" Kubski, Poland.

HooXi and jabbi remain on the bench.

For the first time in the organization's history, Astralis has formed a lineup without a Danish majority. Staehr is now the only Danish player among the five starters.

This marks a major change for an organization that previously won four Major championships with an all-Danish roster.

Why Did Astralis Decide to Rebuild Its Roster?

On October 9, Astralis announced that HooXi and jabbi had been moved to the bench.

The decision came shortly after the team's victory at Stake Ranked Episode 4, where Astralis secured its first LAN trophy since 2019.

Despite the recent success, management decided to take the team in a new direction. Earlier reports suggested that contract extension negotiations with the two Danish players had encountered difficulties.

The roster changes also affected the organization's relationship with its supporters. DanishCorner, Astralis' official fan club, announced that it would give up its official status due to the loss of the team's Danish majority.

However, the community confirmed that it would continue supporting Astralis independently.

When Will siuhy and cmtry Make Their Astralis Debut?

The revamped roster is scheduled to play its first official match on October 14, 2026, at Stake Pulse Beat III in Stockholm.

Astralis will face Danish team Sashi in its opening Group C match.

The tournament will provide the first opportunity to evaluate how the newcomers perform alongside their new teammates and see cmtry in his new rifler role.

Additionally, Astralis is in a strong position ahead of PGL Major Singapore 2026. According to HLTV's calculations, the team's victory at Stake Ranked Episode 4 secured an invitation to the upcoming Major.

The team's main priority will now be adapting to the updated roster and preparing for major international competitions.

The signings of siuhy and cmtry mark the beginning of a new chapter in Astralis' history. The organization is moving away from its traditional Danish roster model and embracing an international lineup in hopes of returning to the top of competitive Counter-Strike 2.
