PGL Bucharest will be one of the first major LAN events of 2027 and will take place from January 17 to 24 at the PGL studio in Bucharest. The tournament will feature a $1 million prize pool, with an additional $400,000 distributed by the organizer in VRS bonuses.

PGL Bucharest 2027 Team List

All 14 teams occupying the top positions in the October Invitational Ranking have confirmed their participation. As a result, PGL Bucharest already has one of the strongest lineups among the tournaments scheduled for the beginning of 2027.

The final two participants will be determined through an eight-team closed qualifier, which will take place from October 16 to 20.

Top Teams Choose PGL Over BLAST Bounty

The participant lineup is especially notable because of the scheduling overlap with BLAST Bounty Season 1 2027. The BLAST tournament will take place in Malta from January 11 to 24, with its second week fully overlapping with PGL Bucharest.

This means the leading teams have effectively prioritized the Romanian LAN event.

BLAST has not yet announced the Bounty participant list. Invitations will only be determined next month based on the November Invitational Ranking.

The organizer previously also announced a format change for the tournament in 2027. The online stage has been removed, while the number of teams has been reduced from 32 to 16.

PGL Bucharest to Open the Season

PGL Bucharest is already shaping up to be one of the most prestigious events at the beginning of 2027. The participation of all 14 leading teams in the ranking significantly raises the level of competition even before the closed qualifier is completed.

The final two spots will be decided in October, after which the complete 16-team lineup will be set to compete for $1 million in prize money and additional VRS bonuses.
