The MongolZ have officially announced the signing of Yesuntumur "nin9" Gantulga from The Huns. Alongside him, Anarbileg "cobrazera" Uuganbayar is returning to the starting lineup after spending almost three months on the bench.
The two players will replace tikuak and DarkMeister, who were previously moved to the bench. FISSURE Playground 3 was the last tournament for that pair as part of The MongolZ, where cobrazera also temporarily stood in for Techno.
For the 28-year-old nin9, this marks a return to a familiar organization. He previously represented The MongolZ in 2018, when current head coach maaRaa was still playing professionally.
nin9 will also reunite with Techno and bLitz. The trio previously played together for IHC, the lineup that became the first Mongolian team to qualify for a Major in 2022. IHC competed at PGL Major Antwerp and finished the Challengers Stage with a 1-3 record.
The MongolZ hope the changes will help stabilize their results following a difficult start to the season. The team currently sits 48th in the world ranking and risks losing its second-place position in Asia.
The revamped roster will make its debut at 1win Private Club Season 2, which will take place from October 19 to 22 in Belgrade and feature a $100,000 prize pool. The team will then compete at PGL Masters Bucharest from October 24 to 31.
