Clutch Case 2026: Skins, Gloves & Drop Odds
Clutch Case in 2026: Contents, Odds & Verdict

The Clutch Case is one of the most recognizable older cases in Counter-Strike. Valve added it on February 14, 2018, alongside the Welcome to the Clutch update. The container introduced 17 community-created weapon skins and 24 new glove variants as rare special items.
Eight years later, the case is still interesting thanks to the M4A4 | Neo-Noir, MP7 | Bloodsport, USP-S | Cortex, and AWP | Mortis. But the main reason to open the Clutch Case is its glove pool, which includes Sport Gloves | Vice, Driver Gloves | King Snake, Specialist Gloves | Fade, and other expensive models.
In mid-September 2026, the Clutch Case costs around $0.80-0.85 on the Steam Community Market, although prices may be lower on third-party marketplaces. A standard opening also requires a $2.49 key, bringing the total cost of one attempt to roughly $3.30.

What Is Inside the Clutch Case?
The Clutch Case contains the standard four weapon skin rarity tiers plus a separate gold pool with gloves. There are 17 regular items in total. Steam still displays them directly on the container’s page.
The distribution looks like this:
Mil-Spec — 7 skins
Restricted — 5 skins
Classified — 3 skins
Covert — 2 skins
Rare Special Item — 24 glove variants
Unlike many other older containers, the Clutch Case is not about knives. If you hit a gold item, you receive a pair of gloves.

M4A4 | Neo-Noir
The main weapon skin in the case is the M4A4 | Neo-Noir. It uses the recognizable Neo-Noir style, combining a dark background with pink, blue, and purple elements and a large character illustration.
It is one of the two Covert drops. In 2026, regular versions cost around $120 depending on condition, while StatTrak examples can be even more expensive.

MP7 | Bloodsport
The second red item is the MP7 | Bloodsport. Its design combines red, black, and white colors with logos and technical lettering in a sports-inspired style.
Despite the MP7 being less popular than the M4A4, Bloodsport itself remains an expensive skin. Regular versions currently cost around $80 depending on condition.

USP-S | Cortex
USP-S | Cortex is a Classified skin and remains one of the most recognizable affordable options for the CT starting pistol.
The black body of the USP-S | Cortex is decorated with a bright pink and purple design featuring a skull and a stylized brain. More worn versions start at around $3, while clean Factory New examples cost noticeably more.

AWP | Mortis
AWP | Mortis is another strong Classified drop. The skin uses a dark color palette and is inspired by the Death tarot card.
It is noticeably cheaper than many popular AWP skins and in 2026 usually sits in the range of roughly $3-14 for regular versions.

Rare Drop - Gloves

The main feature of the Clutch Case is its rare pool of 24 glove variants. They are divided between six glove models, with four finishes available for each.

Hand Wraps | Duct Tape
Hand Wraps | Arboreal
Hydra Gloves
Hydra Gloves | Case Hardened
Hydra Gloves | Emerald
Hydra Gloves | Rattler
Hydra Gloves | Mangrove
Prices within this pool vary dramatically. Some of the most expensive and desirable options include Sport Gloves | Vice, Sport Gloves | Amphibious, Driver Gloves | King Snake, and Specialist Gloves | Fade. Their value depends heavily on condition and float.
However, getting a gold item does not automatically mean an expensive drop. The Clutch Case also includes much cheaper options such as Driver Gloves | Racing Green, Hydra Gloves | Mangrove, and Specialist Gloves | Buckshot. As a result, the value of a glove drop can differ by several times even within the same gold pool.
Clutch Case Drop Odds
The Clutch Case uses the standard rarity distribution for Counter-Strike weapon cases:
Mil-Spec — 79.923%
Restricted — 15.985%
Classified — 3.197%
Covert — 0.639%
Rare Special Item — 0.256%
That means the chance of receiving any pair of gloves is approximately 1 in 391. However, that is only the probability of hitting the gold pool. The chance of getting one specific model such as Sport Gloves | Vice is much lower because there are 24 possible glove variants. For one specific glove type, the base probability is roughly 1 in 9,400 before condition is taken into account.
As expected, most openings end with a blue Mil-Spec item.
Is the Clutch Case Worth Opening in 2026?
In terms of contents, the Clutch Case still looks interesting. It has a strong M4A4 skin, recognizable USP-S and AWP options, and most importantly, one of the most famous glove pools in the game.
However, the economics of opening it remain harsh. With the case costing around $0.80 and the key priced at $2.49, each attempt costs roughly $3.30, while most Mil-Spec and Restricted drops are worth significantly less than that amount.
So if your goal is to get a specific Neo-Noir, Cortex, or pair of gloves, buying the item directly is usually more predictable than trying to unbox it randomly.
The Clutch Case also supports content rental. Instead of receiving one random item, players can temporarily access all regular weapon skins from the case, but the rare gloves are not included in the rental.

Verdict
The Clutch Case remains one of the most recognizable glove cases in CS2. M4A4 | Neo-Noir and MP7 | Bloodsport give the container two solid red drops, while USP-S | Cortex and AWP | Mortis make the pink category attractive as well.
But the true value of the case lies in its 24 glove variants. Vice, King Snake, Amphibious, and Fade can turn a rare gold drop into a very expensive item, although the chance of receiving any gloves is only around 0.26%.
If you want to open the Clutch Case without buying a separate Steam key, the Clutch Case is available on Farmskins for just $0.99. You can check the possible drops in advance and try to get one of the case’s main items - from Cortex and Neo-Noir to rare gloves.
