Shattered Web Case 2026: Prices, Skins & Knives
Shattered Web Case in 2026: Discontinued, Rising & Still Worth Opening?

One of the most exciting older cases of Counter-Strike 2 is the Shattered Web Case. This case was released by Valve on November 18, 2019, as part of the Operation Shattered Web event and has not appeared in the game ever since the event's conclusion.
The scarcity of supply has been a driving force behind its prolonged growth in value. Once this case could be bought for less than a dollar, but now the cost of this container can reach several dollars. Inside this container, you can find 17 weapon skins and four knife models, namely the Skeleton Knife, Nomad Knife, Paracord Knife, and Survival Knife.
Thus, the Shattered Web Case can be considered in 2026 from two viewpoints: for collectors, it is an old container whose supply gets scarcer, while for case openers, it is an opportunity to receive AWP | Containment Breach, MAC-10 | Stalker, or any knife.

Why Does the Shattered Web Case No Longer Drop?
The Shattered Web Case was directly tied to Operation Shattered Web. The operation ended on March 31, 2020, after which the main source of the container disappeared.
This separates it from regular active cases that continue entering player inventories through the drop system. The number of Shattered Web Cases on the market now depends mainly on existing stock.
Every time one is opened, a case disappears permanently. As a result, the available supply gradually decreases over time, especially if demand for the knives and skins inside remains strong.
However, the knives themselves are not exclusive to this container. Valve later added the Skeleton Knife, Nomad Knife, Paracord Knife, and Survival Knife with the same classic finishes to the Fracture Case.

Best Shattered Web Case Skins
AWP | Containment Breach
The main weapon drop in the case is the AWP | Containment Breach. Its design is built around a radioactive theme, combining a bright green background with mutated creatures and warning-style elements.
Containment Breach has Covert rarity and is available in all major wear conditions, as well as in StatTrak. It remains one of the most recognizable green AWP skins and one of the main reasons players are still interested in the Shattered Web Case.

MAC-10 | Stalker
The second red item is the MAC-10 | Stalker. Its body features a large image of a predatory blue animal combined with yellow and black elements.
The skin is also available in all wear conditions and has a StatTrak version. Unlike many older cases, both Covert drops here remain fairly recognizable.

SSG 08 | Bloodshot
Bloodshot is a Classified skin that stands out with an aggressive design featuring green tentacles, teeth, and a large eye. It is especially suitable for players who prefer bright and unusual designs.

Tec-9 | Decimator
Tec-9 | Decimator uses the signature combination of blue, pink, and purple colors. It is one of the most recognizable Decimator-style skins and another strong item from the Classified tier.
Rare Drop - Four Knives
.jpg)
The main feature of the Shattered Web Case when it was released was the introduction of four new knife models:
Skeleton Knife
Nomad Knife
Paracord Knife
Survival Knife
Valve officially introduced all four alongside Operation Shattered Web.
Each knife originally launched with 13 classic finishes: Vanilla, Fade, Crimson Web, Slaughter, Case Hardened, Blue Steel, Stained, Night Stripe, Urban Masked, Forest DDPAT, Boreal Forest, Scorched, and Safari Mesh.
Why Has the Shattered Web Case Increased in Price?
This is mostly due to the fact that the supply is limited.
Once Operation Shattered Web ended, a lot of the new containers did not make their way into the game. Also, players are still unboxing the containers which makes the overall supply decrease.
It is worth mentioning that it had a significant effect on the price. In 2021, the Shattered Web Case was sold for about $0.35, but now it costs over $6 on some marketplaces by the end of 2025.
Now, in 2026, the cost of the container is $4 on third-party marketplaces and $6+ on Steam due to additional fees.
Despite the reduction from past record high levels, the Shattered Web Case is still several times more expensive compared to historical minimums.
Item Drop Odds
The Shattered Web Case uses the standard Counter-Strike weapon case probabilities:
Mil-Spec — around 79.92%
Restricted — around 15.98%
Classified — around 3.20%
Covert — around 0.64%
Rare Special Item — around 0.26%
This means that any knife drops roughly once every 385-390 openings over a large sample.
The probability of getting one specific knife with one specific finish is much lower because the gold pool contains 52 possible combinations.
Is the Shattered Web Case Worth Opening in 2026?
Technically, the Shattered Web Case can still be opened, but from an economic perspective, doing so in 2026 looks fairly risky.
The main problem is the high price of the container itself. After Operation Shattered Web ended, the case stopped regularly entering the game, making its supply limited. One Shattered Web Case currently costs approximately $4-6, depending on the marketplace and current market conditions.
On top of that, you need a key costing around $2.49. That brings the total cost of a single opening to roughly $6.50-8.50.
At the same time, the vast majority of drops come from the two lowest rarity tiers. The chance of getting a Mil-Spec item is around 79.92%, while Restricted adds another 15.98%. This means that in more than 95% of openings, the player receives a blue or purple item that is often worth significantly less than the cost of the opening itself.
The biggest attraction of the Shattered Web Case is its four knife models: Skeleton Knife, Nomad Knife, Paracord Knife, and Survival Knife. However, these models with classic finishes were later added to the Fracture Case, which costs considerably less. Because of that, opening an expensive Shattered Web Case purely for the chance of getting a knife is not the best idea.
The collectible value of the container itself also changes the calculation. Every Shattered Web Case that gets opened disappears from the market, while no large new supply is entering circulation. By opening one, the player is using up an item that already has limited supply and meaningful market value on its own.
So if your goal is to get a specific skin or knife, it is usually more reasonable to sell the Shattered Web Case and use the money to buy the desired item directly or open several cheaper cases instead.
Snakebite Case in 2026: Contents, Odds & Verdict
Verdict
The Shattered Web Case remains interesting thanks to the AWP | Containment Breach, MAC-10 | Stalker, and four popular knife models. However, its high price in 2026 makes opening it much less attractive.
For collectors, an unopened case may be more interesting than a single random attempt at getting a rare item. If you mainly want to open cases, cheaper containers can give you more attempts for the same budget.
If you want to open a case for the experience itself, you can choose a suitable container on Farmskins, check the available rewards in advance, and try to get the drop you want at an attractive price.
