The series started poorly for 3DMAX. On Inferno, the French side managed to put up a fight only in the opening stages, but then completely gave up the initiative to their opponents. After a decent start, the squad found itself trailing, fell behind as the map went on, and eventually lost it 9-13.

However, the key moment of the matchup came on the second map. On Ancient, where 3DMAX had only a 31% win rate over the past three months, the team found itself on the verge of elimination while trailing 6-11. Nevertheless, the French roster managed to turn the game around. Bryan “Maka” Canda and Lucas “Lucky” Chastang played the most important roles in the comeback, with each of them winning a 1v2 clutch. Thanks to those moments, 3DMAX pushed the map into overtime and closed it out 16-13.

On the deciding Nuke, the first half was closely contested, but after the side switch 3DMAX took full control of the match. Lucky and Maka stood out in particular, confidently locking down the outer part of the map and helping the team secure the victory.

MOUZ could sign Magisk as the new captain of its CS2 roster

Now, in the PGL Bucharest 2026 semifinals, the team will face the winner of the EYEBALLERS vs. Astralis matchup. For 3DMAX, this is one of the most significant results of the tournament and a serious statement in the fight for the title.
