Valve has made an exception for BC.Game and allowed the team to compete for a place at PGL Major Singapore 2026 through the Asian region. The decision came one day after Valve tightened the rules for switching regions in the VRS and after the organization appealed directly to the developers.
Valve’s tournament rules exception list now explicitly states:
“BC.Game (asap, Magisk, mzinho, s1mple, Senzu) is assigned to the Asia region and is eligible to receive a Major invitation.”

Why BC.Game Was Affected by the New Rules
A day earlier, Valve changed the rules governing regional VRS assignments. Under the new clause, a roster can move to another region only if it has not appeared in another region’s ranking during the previous three calendar months.
Because of this, BC.Game initially lost the opportunity to compete for an invitation through Asia. WW and Sashi were also affected by the restrictions after recently making roster and regional changes ahead of the Singapore Major.
Valve said at the time that such teams would not be eligible to compete for a Major spot unless they contacted the developers and found a separate solution.
How BC.Game Secured the Exception
BC.Game CEO Ali "Ako" Muhanned publicly proposed completely resetting the team’s VRS points and allowing the current five-man roster to start its Asian campaign from zero.
The organization was prepared to give up all previously earned ranking points and use the remaining three weeks to try to collect enough points with the lineup of asap, mzinho, Senzu, s1mple, and Magisk.
Valve has now officially approved the exception, meaning BC.Game will not have to wait the standard three-month period before switching regions.

What Valve’s Decision Means for BC.Game
BC.Game is now officially recognized as an Asian team and can receive an invitation to PGL Major Singapore 2026 through the regional VRS.
According to HLTV’s latest calculations, the team’s current position already practically guarantees it a place at the tournament. As a result, BC.Game’s appeal to Valve was successful, and the new three-month restriction will not apply to the roster in this case.
