Astralis could soon strengthen its roster with 19-year-old Ukrainian player Nikita "cmtry" Samolotov. According to HLTV, citing its own sources, the Danish organization is working on a loan deal for the player.

Astralis Working on cmtry Loan Deal

According to sources, the move would specifically be a loan agreement. It is not yet known how long the deal could last or when the two sides may complete negotiations.

Astralis has not officially commented on the potential transfer.

cmtry Could Give Up the AWP

For the Ukrainian, the move would represent a significant change in his career. Since joining NAVI Youth in 2023, cmtry has primarily played as the team’s main AWPer.

According to the available information, Astralis plans to use him as a rifler. That would mean moving to different positions, adapting to new timings, and taking on a noticeably different set of responsibilities during rounds.

HooXi and jabbi Could Leave the Roster

The rumors surrounding cmtry have emerged amid reports of a broader Astralis rebuild.

It was previously reported that the organization is considering replacing Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen and Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard. According to sources, negotiations with both players over new contracts have reached an impasse.

It is still unclear who cmtry could replace or who the second potential newcomer might be.

Astralis Considering Changes After Recent Victory

The possible rebuild is especially interesting following the team’s success at Stake Ranked Episode 4.

Astralis recently won the tournament and claimed the organization’s first full LAN trophy since 2019. Despite the result, the club continues to explore options for changing the roster.

Alongside HooXi and jabbi, the current lineup also features Viktor "Staehr" Staehr, Gytis "ryu" Glušauskas, and Love "phzy" Smidebrant. Filip "NEO" Kubski remains the team’s coach.

cmtry Recently Benched by FUT

A few days ago, FUT moved cmtry to the bench after signing Álvaro "SunPayus" García, who took over as the team’s main AWPer.

At the same time, 2026 also brought a major individual achievement for the Ukrainian. cmtry was one of FUT’s key players during their victory at PGL Bucharest and received the tournament MVP award.

If the loan move goes through, Astralis would represent not only a new team for him, but also the first major stage of his career outside his usual AWP role.
