Valve has released a new update for Counter-Strike 2. This time, the developers focused on bug fixes, map improvements, and expanded functionality for community map creators.
One of the main changes addresses a bug that allowed grenades to pass through level geometry in certain situations.
Gameplay Changes
The developers fixed an issue that allowed grenades to be thrown through parts of the map geometry. This bug could potentially give players an unintended advantage and affect the outcome of matches.
Cache Changes
Cache received several minor but important fixes. Valve addressed various gaps and collision issues across the map, while also fixing flickering on certain objects.
In addition, the developers removed a boost spot on the street near the A bombsite. This change could affect familiar team strategies and player positioning in this area of the map.
Shelter Update
Shelter has also received an update. The map has been updated to the latest version available in the Community Workshop.

New Features for Map Creators
The update is not limited to changes for regular players. Valve has also expanded the tools available to community map developers by introducing new scripting functionality, giving creators additional options when building and configuring custom content for CS2.
The previous Counter-Strike 2 update was released in late July. At the time, the developers added IEM Cologne Major 2026 ranking stickers and fixed a number of bugs.
