Dataminer Thour explored the updated client and shared a number of findings, including unexpected paintball-related assets. In the animgraph_2_beta build, new elements resembling paintball bullet impacts were added. This could indicate testing of new hit effects or even hint at experimental game modes with altered shooting mechanics.

Another notable discovery is the presence of cash stack models. Moreover, users found that by using the command “spawnCashStack,” it is possible to spawn a $250 money pile in-game. This kind of feature strongly suggests mechanics tied to in-match currency systems.

Unsurprisingly, the community quickly connected these findings to Danger Zone — the battle royale mode previously available in CS:GO. The appearance of cash-related assets may point toward its return in an updated form, or possibly the development of an entirely new mode centered around economy-driven gameplay.
