MOUZ and Vitality Advance to ESL Pro League Season 24 Playoffs

The third round of the ESL Pro League Season 24 Swiss stage concluded on October 5. The main highlights of the day were MOUZ and Vitality securing playoff spots, Spirit suffering their first Swiss-stage loss in 668 days, and TYLOO and ShindeN being eliminated from the tournament.

MOUZ became the first team to guarantee a place in the playoffs after comfortably defeating Spirit 2:0. For Spirit, the defeat ended a 32-match winning streak in Swiss groups that had lasted 668 days.

Vitality followed MOUZ into the playoffs. The team started its match against Falcons with a 9:13 loss on Anubis but completely turned the series around afterward, winning Dust2 13:4 and Mirage 13:8. mezii was Vitality’s highest-rated player with a 1.36 rating, narrowly ahead of ropz at 1.33. As a result, MOUZ and Vitality completed the opening three rounds with 3:0 records.

In the 1:1 group, FURIA defeated PARIVISION 2:1. In the other series, M80 lost the opening map Mirage to TYLOO 10:13 but recovered to win Cache 13:7 and Anubis 13:8. slaxz- was the standout player of the match with a 1.57 rating.

At the end of the day, ShindeN and TYLOO were eliminated from ESL Pro League Season 24 with 0:3 records. Spirit, FURIA, 1win, Aurora, Falcons, and NAVI moved into the 2:1 group, where one more victory will secure a playoff spot. G2, PARIVISION, 9z, BetBoom, Legacy, and M80 now sit at 1:2 and can no longer afford another loss.
