FACEIT Doubles Cross-Team Voice Chat Time During Halftime in CS2

FACEIT has made changes to the cross-team voice chat feature in Counter-Strike 2 matches. Players can now communicate with their opponents for 16 seconds instead of the previous 8 seconds during the side switch. The platform announced the update on its social media channels.

The cross-team voice chat feature was introduced on FACEIT on August 5 alongside the launch of its ninth competitive season. Voice chat is activated after the first half of a match and remains available during the side switch. Initially, players had only eight seconds to talk to their opponents, but the developers have now doubled that window.

The feature is currently being tested. FACEIT plans to collect player feedback until August 12, after which the platform is expected to decide whether cross-team voice chat will remain available.

The decision to introduce cross-team voice chat during side switches was based on a community vote. A total of 106,647 players participated in the poll, with 79% voting in favor of the feature.
