Kyousuke to Miss BLAST Open Rotterdam Start — Falcons Field NucleonZ as Stand-in

Kyousuke to Miss BLAST Open Rotterdam Start

Falcons have been forced to make a last-minute roster adjustment ahead of one of the season’s key events. Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin will miss the opening matches of BLAST Open Rotterdam due to visa issues, the organization has confirmed. Academy player Matej “NucleonZ” Trajkoski will step in as his temporary replacement.

In an official statement, Falcons emphasized that they are doing everything possible to resolve the situation and hope to have kyousuke rejoin the lineup as soon as possible. For now, however, the team will have to begin the tournament with a modified roster.

Falcons’ lineup for the start of BLAST Open Rotterdam will be:

  • Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov

  • Matej “NucleonZ” Trajkoski

  • Nikola “NiKo” Kovač

  • Rene “TeSeS” Madsen

  • Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski

  • Danny “zonic” Sørensen (coach)

This is not NucleonZ’s first experience as a stand-in at the top level. He previously replaced kyousuke at BLAST Bounty Winter, where Falcons delivered an impressive run to the grand final before falling to PARIVISION 0:3. Despite the loss, the team showed strong synergy even with a substitute.

Falcons now face a similar challenge — quickly integrating NucleonZ into their system while maintaining a high level of performance against elite opposition. With a tight schedule and strong competition at BLAST Open Rotterdam, there is little room for error.

The tournament kicks off tomorrow, and Falcons will open their Group A campaign against NRG. The match will serve as the first real test for the adjusted roster and a key indicator of how well the team can handle unexpected setbacks.

Whether Falcons can replicate their previous success with a stand-in remains to be seen, but all eyes will be on their opening performance.
