For the first time since the introduction of Valve’s ranking, Team Spirit have fallen below tenth place in the list of the world’s strongest Counter-Strike 2 rosters. Previously, the team had consistently remained in the top 10, but that streak has now come to an end.
Against the backdrop of PGL Bucharest 2026, a tournament Spirit are not attending, the team dropped to 11th place. This is a notable change for one of the most consistent rosters of recent seasons. At the same time, the lineup still holds 9th place in the HLTV ranking, which highlights the difference between the two evaluation systems.

At the moment, Valve’s top 20 CS2 teams look as follows:
Vitality
NAVI
The Mongolz
Aurora
FURIA
Astralis
MOUZ
PARIVISION
Falcons
FUT
Spirit
G2
9z
paiN
Legacy
3DMAX
B8
Monte
BetBoom Team
GamerLegion
Spirit’s fall outside the top 10 can be seen as a local signal of certain issues within the team. Even without taking part in the current tournament, the roster lost several positions while their rivals continued to earn points and improve their standings.

The team’s next event will be IEM Rio 2026, which will take place in Brazil from April 13 to 19. The tournament’s prize pool will be $1 million. It is there that Spirit will have a chance to improve their results and try to return to Valve’s top 10 as quickly as possible.
