Valve Announces End Date for StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 Sticker Sales

Valve has disclosed details regarding when StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 capsules will be removed from the Counter-Strike 2 in-game store. According to Valve developers, the sale of these capsules within the game will cease on March 16, 2026.

This has been disclosed by Valve developers via their social media page. After this date, it will not be possible to acquire these capsules within the in-game store. However, it is worth noting that stickers within these capsules will still be available within the inventories of users and can be utilized as normal.

StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 capsules were introduced within the game in mid-November 2025, along with the tournament. Several types of capsules were available within the in-game store:

  • Team capsules featuring logos of the tournament participants

  • Player autograph stickers

  • A special champion capsule dedicated to the tournament winner

This special capsule was released in honor of Team Vitality, which won the Major.

The champion of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 was Team Vitality. In the tournament’s grand final, the French squad defeated FaZe Clan with a score of 3:1.

Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut was named the MVP of the tournament. The French AWPer once again demonstrated an outstanding level of play and, by the end of the year, matched the record of Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev for the number of MVP awards in a single season.

Earlier, Valve also attracted attention with another unexpected decision. The company brought Counter-Strike: Global Offensive back to Steam, but the game is now available separately from CS2. At the same time, the project does not appear in the standard store search - it can only be added to the library via a direct link.

As a result, players now have limited time to purchase the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 stickers before they permanently disappear from the Counter-Strike 2 store.
