FiRe Major Buenos Aires 2027 is set to become one of the most ambitious Counter-Strike tournaments in recent years. All stages of the event will be held with a live audience, and the organizers are planning a масштабная opening ceremony comparable to those seen at FIFA World Cups. The information was shared by FiReSPORTS co-founder and CEO Rodrigo Figueroa Reyes in an interview with reconectados.com.ar.
According to Reyes, the goal is to elevate the Major beyond a standard esports tournament and turn it into a large-scale entertainment spectacle. In addition to the opening show, the organizers are preparing a closing ceremony at the iconic Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires — one of the most prestigious opera houses in the world. This choice of venue highlights the cultural and symbolic importance FiReSPORTS aims to attach to the event.
The tournament will run from May 31 to June 20, 2027. A total of 32 teams will compete for a $1.25 million prize pool. The organizers are also considering the creation of a dedicated fan zone for supporters who are unable to secure arena tickets, further expanding the event’s reach and atmosphere.
