jL Could Receive a Sticker Instead of apEX at PGL Major Singapore 2026

Lithuanian esports player Justinas "jL" Lekavicius could receive a personal Team Vitality sticker at PGL Major Singapore 2026 instead of captain Dan "apEX" Madesclaire. The situation stems from Valve's rules for determining team rosters in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS). Following Vitality's defeat to FUT Esports on October 26 at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, this scenario has become significantly more likely.

Why Could jL Receive a Sticker Instead of apEX?

At the tournament in Bucharest, jL is temporarily replacing apEX, who is missing the event due to the birth of his child.

Under Valve's rules, a player must participate in at least five of the team's last ten matches to be included in its current VRS roster.

This roster is used to determine invitations to the Major.

Following a 1:2 defeat to FUT Esports, Vitality dropped into the 2:1 bracket.

The team is now guaranteed to play at least five matches at the tournament, allowing jL to meet the requirement.

What Will Happen to apEX?

If jL becomes part of Vitality's official roster for the Major invitation, apEX could still compete at the championship as a substitute.

However, the French captain risks missing out on a personal sticker.

Possible consequences:

• jL becomes part of Vitality's VRS roster.

• apEX is registered as a substitute.

• jL receives a personal sticker instead of apEX.

• apEX remains eligible to play at the Major.

However, the final roster and sticker allocation will depend on the team's registration and how Valve applies its rules.

How Did the Defeat to FUT Change the Situation?

Before facing FUT, Vitality held a 2:0 record and could have completed the group stage undefeated.

In that scenario, the team risked playing too few matches with jL for its VRS roster to change.

However, the defeat changed the situation.

Vitality can now finish the Swiss stage with a 3:1, 3:2, or 2:3 record. Each scenario involves at least five matches with the Lithuanian player.

When Will PGL Major Singapore 2026 Invitations Be Determined?

On November 2, 2026, Valve is scheduled to distribute invitations based on the updated VRS rankings.

PGL Major Singapore 2026 will take place from November 24 to December 13.

The championship will feature 32 teams competing for a $1.25 million prize pool.

As a result, apEX's temporary absence could lead to an unusual situation: Vitality's captain may compete at the Major, while jL receives the personal sticker instead.
