Thanks to These Tricks, You Won’t Lose a Single Match in CS2

The modern smoke system in CS2 has opened up countless ways for players to gain unfair but completely legal advantages in gunfights. The new volumetric smokes can be used to spot opponents earlier than they can see you, and situations like these often decide entire rounds. Below are the strongest and most consistent tricks that work reliably and give you a huge edge even against more experienced players.

One-way on Long Dust 2 from A Default

This smoke allows you to stay in A-site default and see the legs of terrorists pushing Long. The smoke is thrown onto the edge of the wall in such a way that its lower part remains transparent only from the defender’s side. Terrorists see a normal dense smoke cloud and assume Long is fully blocked, but you can track their movement and pick up kills before they even enter a real duel. In fast rounds, this almost guarantees a first frag.
One-way on B Site Mirage from the Default Box

One of the strongest one-ways in the game exists on Mirage’s B site. The smoke is thrown so that the defender sitting on the default box gets vision under the bottom edge of the smoke. Terrorists emerging from B apps see nothing at all, while you see them clearly. The angle is extremely favorable, and your player model remains nearly fully hidden. This trick is especially effective against fast flash-heavy rushes. While opponents expect a close fight on site, you already secure the opening kill and instantly fall back to a better position.
One-way on Dust 2 Short from Catwalk

The idea is similar to the Long setup but used in another key area of the map. You throw a smoke onto the palm tree so that it fills the space above while leaving a small gap below. From catwalk, you can see opponents’ legs as they take short or prepare to push. For the attacking side, the smoke looks perfectly normal, dense and safe, but in reality it works against them. This one-way can either completely stop an early push or allow you to gather important information without revealing your position.
Chicken Bite in Inferno Boiler

This trick works not because of smoke but because of psychology. You sit in Boiler and release a chicken forward. A terrorist noticing the movement instinctively assumes it is a player and fires. The shot instantly gives away his position, and you simply swing out and take an easy kill. It looks silly, but it works consistently, especially against aggressive players who try to pressure mid and hold Boiler using tiny pixel angles.
One-way in Dust 2 Double Doors for Mid and Catwalk Control

This is one of the most frustrating smokes for terrorists. The smoke is thrown directly into Double Doors so that its upper part blocks the vision of players coming from mid while the lower part stays open for the defender standing inside the doors. You can see opponents’ legs as they move toward catwalk or try to take mid control, while they see nothing but thick smoke. It is a perfect way to secure an early kill with zero risk or completely disrupt the attackers’ timing.
