NAVI Take Ancient in Overtime
The series began on Ancient, where the two teams played an extremely close map. FURIA won both pistol rounds and, thanks to consistent shooting from KSCERATO, managed to push the game into overtime.
However, the extra rounds belonged entirely to NAVI. The European lineup won all four overtime rounds and closed out their map pick 16:12 to take the lead in the series.
Despite losing the opening map, FURIA remained competitive and did not allow NAVI to build significant momentum heading into Nuke.
FURIA Fight Back on Nuke
NAVI came very close to victory on the second map. The team finished the first half on the CT side with a 9:3 lead and built a comfortable advantage, but after switching sides FURIA gradually began to close the gap.
Just like on Ancient, the Brazilians once again won both pistol rounds. Nuke eventually also went into overtime, where KSCERATO played the key role.
He recorded eight kills during a run of four consecutive rounds won by FURIA and helped the team close the map 16:12. The series was then decided on Cache.
Cache Goes to FURIA
On the deciding map, NAVI finally won their first pistol round of the series, but they were unable to build on that success. FURIA quickly responded and won eight rounds in a row to create a significant lead.
NAVI still managed to work their way back into the game and came close to completing the comeback, but the crucial moment belonged to molodoy. The Kazakh player won a 1v3 clutch and restored FURIA’s momentum.
In the closing stages, FalleN added a spectacular no-scope, after which the Brazilian lineup finished off their opponents and closed Cache 13:10.
