In Counter-Strike 2, the animation system continues to evolve gradually. A small but meaningful update has been released for the ANIMGRAPH 2 beta branch, focusing on improving visual smoothness and the accuracy of in-game actions.
The developers fixed the HE grenade throw animations for both the first-person view (viewmodel) and the world model. Previously, players could notice desynchronization or unnatural movement — this has now been refined to look cleaner and more realistic.
The foot IK system in idle state has also been adjusted. This affects how a character stands on surfaces, making foot placement appear more natural and eliminating minor visual inconsistencies that could break immersion.
Planting animations received additional polish as well, with turning motions during the plant now appearing smoother and more consistent. While this doesn’t directly impact gameplay, it improves the visual clarity of the action, especially in high-pressure clutch situations.
An issue with fast weapon switching while holding the inspect key has been fixed. Previously, this could cause animation glitches or interruptions, but the behavior is now stable.
Additionally, minor tweaks were made to first-person weapon animations, improving their overall feel. Finally, the head dip during counter-strafing has been adjusted, making the movement look more natural and less abrupt.
