MOUZ Beat BetBoom to Reach IEM Beijing 2026 Playoffs

MOUZ became the second team to secure a spot in the IEM Beijing 2026 playoffs after defeating BetBoom 2:0 in Group B.

The European lineup comfortably won Ancient 13:6 before edging out their opponents on Mirage in overtime with a 16:14 scoreline.

MOUZ will now face PARIVISION in the Group B upper bracket final. The winner of that series will advance directly to the playoff semifinals, while the loser will begin the decisive stage of the tournament from the quarterfinals.

BetBoom dropped into the lower bracket after the loss, where they will face Aurora.

MOUZ Comfortably Take Ancient

The first map of the series was Ancient, where MOUZ controlled the game from the very beginning.

The team quickly built a comfortable lead and did not allow BetBoom to put up serious resistance.

torzsi, Spinx, and xelex were particularly impressive. All three finished the map with ratings above 1.50 and were the main reason behind MOUZ’s convincing 13:6 victory.

BetBoom were unable to consistently find answers either on the T side or after switching sides, so the opening map ended without a tense finish.

Mirage Goes to Overtime

The situation changed on Mirage.

BetBoom started much better and managed to create far more problems for MOUZ. The map remained close and eventually went into overtime.

Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás played the key role in the closing stages.

The Hungarian sniper consistently found important AWP kills and helped MOUZ close Mirage 16:14.

torzsi finished as the best player of the series. He recorded 38 kills and 17 deaths and ended the match with a 1.46 rating.

xelex and Spinx both posted a 1.20 rating, while xertioN finished the series at 1.09.

s1ren was BetBoom’s highest-rated player at 1.04, while d1Ledez ended the match with a 1.02 rating.

MOUZ Continue Their Consistent Run

The victory over BetBoom gave MOUZ their third consecutive playoff appearance at a major tournament.

The team now has the opportunity to advance directly to the IEM Beijing 2026 semifinals if they can defeat PARIVISION.

BetBoom, meanwhile, still have a chance to continue their tournament run.

They will face Aurora in the lower bracket, where another loss will mean elimination from IEM Beijing 2026.
