The story involving German streamer and player Maurizio “MAUschine” Weber has taken a new turn: following the scandalous incident at CAGGTUS 2026 in Leipzig, the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) issued him a lifetime ban. Weber is now prohibited from participating in any ESIC member events or tournaments in any role.
The incident itself happened after a match in which MAUschine’s team lost to Spidergum’s Legends. During the post-match ceremony, Weber approached his opponent Fabian “Spidergum” Salomon and struck him in the face прямо on stage. Later, the streamer explained his outburst by saying that his opponent had been trash-talking during the match and, after winning rounds, had been copying his signature reactions in order to mock him.
Immediately after the incident, the tournament organizers reacted harshly to the player’s behavior and banned MAUschine from participating in their events until 2036. In addition, the case materials were passed on to ESIC, which, after conducting its own investigation, concluded that the incident constituted a direct physical assault on a member of the opposing team.
In its official statement, ESIC emphasized that such actions cannot be justified either by emotions or by the circumstances of the match. The commission also noted that the public nature of the episode only increased the need for a severe sanction, as the organization does not intend to allow violence to become normalized on the professional scene.

Against the backdrop of the incident, some in the community sarcastically remarked that MAUschine apparently “hits people better than he shoots with the AWP,” but the consequences for the player turned out to be extremely serious. Even though the tournament itself had a prize pool of 0 euros, with the main prize being tickets to the next event, the Leipzig incident became one of the loudest disciplinary scandals of recent months. Now MAUschine’s career at major tournaments is effectively under threat of coming to a complete end.
